Mr. Sam Schroeder is a choral music educator hailing from Le Mars, Iowa. After graduating high school in 2011, he attended the University of South Dakota in Vermillion and graduated with a Bachelor of Music with a specialization in education summa cum laude in December 2015.

After graduation, Mr. Schroeder substitute taught in various school districts in Northwest Iowa before accepting the K-12 Vocal Music Director position in Parker, South Dakota (30 miles SW of Sioux Falls) where he began teaching in August 2016. During his three years in Parker, Mr. Schroeder saw the growth of the high school choral department from 13 students to 58 students at the conclusion of the 2018-19 school year. He also had multiple students accepted for state-auditioned honor choirs at the elementary, junior high, and high school levels.

This will be Mr. Schroeder's 4th year of teaching overall, and his first year at Lewis Central. His teaching duties will include the Freshmen Treble Choir, Bella Voce, Company, helping with Singcocaption, and Music Appreciation. He is extremely excited to be back "home" in Iowa and looks forward to build upon the already successful music department at LC and build student relationships.
